Excellent work. I had decided to make it a fast move 4 guys 2 trucks. Quote was for 3.5 to 4.5 hours. Estimator Daniel schooled me on what to move myself to make it quicker for the team. Josh, Billy, Zak, and Josh were on time, courteous, moved quickly but safely, never nicked a door or wall. Filled 1st truck, took a 6 minute break and filled the 2nd truck. Unloading 3 miles away was quick, they followed my girlfriends directions on placement, put up 2 beds and were completely done in 2.5 hours AND deducted the 6 minute break! Great crew of guys. I have already told all my friends. I used to lump furniture when I was young, have rented trucks for about 15 moves. Never again, this was too slick saved the back!read more

208 Moving was great! They were very responsive with a quote. Then up to moving day they checked in to make sure nothing had changed. That was great for me because I knew I was on their schedule. When moving day came the movers were very professional, protected my door frames with pads, and emptied the house in a short time. The drove directly from my old house to new. Unloading on that side was also quick and done with care. All of this for a very reasonable price! I cannot say enough about how pleased I was with 208 Moving. We were very pleased with the movers/moving company for my daughter's move today. They arrived timely, protected the doorways, and floors with coverings. There were 3 movers and they all worked quickly and efficiently. We had prepped everything so it would be easy and they quickly wrapped large items to protect them and moved them into the truck. I was impressed with their attitudes as well quick work. As everyone is concerned about the fee for moving, they certainly were aware of that and were below estimate; which shows their honesty. Bottom line is that we recommend them and would use them again. Experience with another mover was more expensive, they were not as concerned about your property or how they moved them. So.... excellent job 208; your movers put forth an image you would be proud of.read more

There are not enough words to describe how amazing the 208 Moving Company truly is. Moving is stressful and these guys took the edge completing off of it for us. The estimate process was incredibly easy and accurate. The staff was very communicative through-out the entire process to make sure we understood the hows, whens, whys and whats. Dan and Austin were outstanding the day of the move. They powered through on a very hot day and were completely personable, professional and courteous. Best moving experience I have ever had, I was in the military and moved a lot then, but also a ton of moving prior to that with divorced parents. 208 Moving Company are thorough and detail oriented. Saying that be prepared when doing a quote that they want specifics. They are priced well and have great customer service. Dan and Mitch were well prepared the day of my move and gave me a heads up call when they were about to leave. They didn't waste anytime, but didn't rush by any means, my belongings were well taken care of. Not all moving professionals are as caring as these guys about making sure nothing gets damaged. I will be recommending them any time I hear someone is going to move and will absolutely call these guys again in the future when I move again.read more

I had a excellent experience with 208 Moving Company! From the first inquiry phone call I could tell they were professional and knew how to treat customers. I received confirmation phone calls when expected before moving, on moving day they showed up when they were scheduled and let me know they were on their way. All three movers were professional, polite, friendly from start to finish, efficient, fast, and they took precaution with all my furniture and breakables by wrapping it, as well as protecting the door frames in the house I was moving out of. I have used other moving companies twice in boise and 208 Moving is by far the best service I have ever received! And if that isn't enough, they are reasonable priced as well. These guys are excellent!! We used them for a move from Boise to Payette. The time we were quoted was 6 to 8 hours to move us. The move took 6 hours, and the movers did not waste any time. I was very skeptical about hiring a moving company because over the years I have heard negative after negative. My brother worked for a furniture store and told me never use a moving company, his customers always said they're terrible. So here is my experience. I didn't know what quesgions to ask, it was a short notice move. I just had surgery and didn't listen to my doc, thought I could tough it out. Nope, bad call. Read reviews online for an hour or so and chose 208. They emailed me almost immediately, they were reassuring. Quoted me almost to the penny what I was charged, they knew what needed to be asked. The guys were polite, clean, respectable, and on-time. Now, I will preface this by saying I didn't know what to expect but - this was like watching a military operation. It was choreographed, organised, and precise. the foreman came in and comfirmed with me exactly what we were doing and what to expect while the other guy covered my walls and door with mats. They wrapped my furniture and hauled my stuff out and within 90 minutes were gone. My toddler and I just stood there and watched. Fantastic job guys.read more

Wonderful!! My siblings and I had to clean out our parents home (an experience in itself) and then move the contents to three different locations. Lots of furniture, antiques and boxes. The two movers (I didn't get their names-my bad) did such a great job. They dismantled, wrapped the furniture in blankets and plastic wrap and handled everything with care and expertise. At the receiving end, they made sure door jams were protected, went inside to find out where we wanted the furniture to be placed and then when I changed my mind about placement they were happy to make adjustments to location. Good attitude, friendly, no lallygagging around. And the cherry on top was the price!! Excellent and so reasonable. I will use 208 Movers again and highly recommend.read more

If there is a one star review, ignore it! This is THE BEST company for moving in Boise and surrounding areas, I’ve dealt with multiple moving companies and it’s nice to finally have someone that is outstanding! They are careful with every item! They get to work ASAP, they are friendly and call for reminders of your appointment and times that work. The communication is amazing! They dust your stuff when they move it, they asked where stuff went! Everything got in the right place and got there fast and got there without any issues! They padded the doors to insure it! They showed up a little early but got done way before the quoted time. They are just the best! All the work they did was well worth the cost, of another company is less it’s because they are not going to get it done as fast, and efficient! Guys showed up on time and ready to go. They were extremely efficient and didn't have any downtime, which minimized my costs. It was raining that day and they rolled out carpet and hardwood protecting to ensure nothing got wet or damaged. They also made sure to cover the front door jams and door to make sure nothing was damaged there. Before leaving they made sure to ask if everything was ok and if there were any last minute items that needed moving. I did a previous move through All my sons moving co and am much more impressed with 208 moving co. All my sons required a deposit min. 200$ and I ended up paying about 350$ after all moving was completed. To move the same stuff, the same distance it was half the cost through 208 moving co and they had no deposit required. 208 was on time and professional and I'll definitely recommend them to friends in the future.read more

Highly recommended!208 Moving Company helped me move this past weekend. This is the first time I have used a moving service. I was able to get a quote and schedule their services in a couple of e-mails, which was super convenient. They had great communication leading up to the move, and called me the morning of the move to let me know when they would be arriving. They were meticulous about wrapping up my furniture, and they could not have been more friendly and helpful. They went so far as to get something out of the attic for me, and any requests to move furniture around were met with "no problem!". The final price came in just under their quote. ***UPDATE****The manager called me earlier this week to consult me on my review below. While we agreed to disagree on somethings, he made good on his response, and actually refunded a large part of this move. I am very happy and relieved to work with a great group. I think paying/quoting for labor/moving is a difficult job, and I appreciate a company that works with their customers. I rescind my original thought that I would not use them again. I will just make sure to get clarification on the initial quote!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It is really hard to justify whether this 2 star review is bad or just mediocre considering I have never paid for a full moving service myself. I can tell you the employees at 208 are 5 stars. The gentleman showed up on time, had great attitudes, and were diligent. However, for paying over $2K, I guess I expected more. I received a quote that was much less, and I spent a week moving stuff myself to combat what they had to move even more. On top of that, the two trucks that came didn’t even take all of my “stuff” because I was told they were full (they were not). 2 furniture items were damaged completely due to negligence and I was told they would be covered in the company’s insurance because they contained particle board. This seems like an intended loophole that should be altered. Honestly it is hard to tell if 208 moving deserves a 2 star review considering many aspects of my experience were very good, I am just underwhelmed and would more than likely try someone else next time.read more

We had the guys at 208 Moving move everything we owned from one house to another. From the very 1st phone call to the time they were done and driving away they were incredibly courteous and professional. Tony, Beau, Ben, and Billy worked very quickly but carefully and had both trucks loaded in short order. When everything was unloaded they very carefully inspected everything with us to make sure it was in pristine condition. The poor guys even spent 15 minutes trying to get a sectional in our upstairs living room before finally realizing it was not going to fit. Overall a very positive experience. I decided to hire help last minute (the day before our arrival) and they were able to accommodate us. Very prompt with communication. Our movers, Matt and Mauri were on time and hustled! No messing around, milking time like I've experienced in the past.I've hired movers before in CA and their work ethic was anything but impressive..but, Matt and Mauri did a FANTASTIC job! They helped unload our truck in less than 2.5 hours and were very careful with our belongings and fragile items. Our total amount was very close to the quoted amount.
